I have a date at a wine and cheese restaurant this week. I live in Florida and the place is outside. It’s not cold at all yet, but I was wondering what type of wine is appropriate for the season so that I can look classy and educated.

Additional info: I don’t like super dry wines or tart wines.
I will probably get a salad with grilled chicken in addition to a cheeseboard that includes 3-4 cheeses, bread and fruit.

I am making shrimp primavera pasta (ingredients: garlic, asparagus, lemon zest, Romano cheese and parsley) and a salad (ingredients: Bibb lettuce, sesame seeds, shallots, red wine vinegar, radishes and cucumber).

A white wine, probably…but I’ve heard that it’s difficult to match wine with dishes that include asparagus because of the taste. And I’m really not much of a wine connoisseur…please help!

I’ve been a fan of wine for a long time. I have many friends that say wine is great, because after drinking wine, you can drink water, and get drunker or drunk again. Or after a night of drinking wine, in the morning if you drink water, you’ll get drunk again.

Being an avid wine fan, I have yet to ever experience this amazing phenomenon. So, is it true, and if so, why does it work.
